Practice and Certifications

At China Metal Powder, we know product quality begins long before the first part release date, which is why we moved our Quality Assurance process “upstream” to the product definition stage long ago. Each step in the production cycle is monitored using various statistical evaluation methods, including SPC. As part of our Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) system, we also use Six Sigma practices, Gage R&R, ongoing reliability testing, and process capability studies. From the blending of powders through pressing, sintering, and secondary machining, our quality programs ensure production of consistent, high-quality parts. Our plants are ISO, QS, and TS 16949 certified.

China Metal Powder engineers are active members of MPIF and AGMA standards and technical committees. China Metal Powder has won numerous industry awards over the years attesting to its ability to develop and produce innovative and practical solutions for customers.

Conflict Minerals Policy Statement

The trade of minerals mined in the eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) may be fueling human rights atrocities in the region. The minerals from this region, called conflict metals, are tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold.

On August 22, 2012, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the final rule [1] regarding the sourcing of conflict minerals under Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Under this rule, publicly traded companies must report to the SEC the presence of conflict minerals originating in the DRC or adjoining countries in the products they manufacture or contract to manufacture.

China Metal Powder COMMITMENT:

  • China Metal Powder will comply with the US legislation.
  • China Metal Powder will require our suppliers to be DRC conflict-free.
  • China Metal Powder will require our suppliers to source from smelters validated as compliant to a Conflict-Free Smelter (CFS) protocol and using the CFS Compliant Smelter List.
  • China Metal Powder will exercise due diligence to comply with this commitment.
  • China Metal Powder will require our suppliers of the designated minerals to provide written evidence of the sourcing smelter(s). The only potential conflict metal used by China Metal Powder is tin, so documentation will be required for all tin or metals containing tin, purchased by China Metal Powder.
  • China Metal Powder will take corrective action as needed to use only conflict-free metal.
